Office Protocols

Following guidance from state and local governments, the CDC, OSHA, and the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine), the following procedures have been put into place for in-office visits:

  1. All clients are Covid-19 screened before treatment
  2. Text or call before entry to reduce time in the waiting room and to avoid client overlap as much as possible
  3. Hand washing or hand sanitizing is available upon entry
  4. Masks are required for everyone in the office
  5. Temperature checks are performed on everyone who enters the office
  6. All touchable surfaces are wiped down with an EPA approved cleaner regularly, including treatment tables and pillows, chairs, bolsters, light switches, and door knobs
  7. Additional cleaning procedures above and beyond the regularly expected maintenance are performed
  8. The office upgraded to an Allergy/Asthma/Virus air filter on the air circulation system (AprilAire) to keep circulating air as clean as possible
  9. Touchless checkout via credit card is encouraged
  10. New clients complete an initial interview over a telehealth platform to reduce exposure during our conversation about your health history and current concerns

If you have any additional concerns or questions about Covid safety or acupuncture safety, please feel free to call or text any time!

Telehealth

Acupuncture is one part of a multifaceted approach to health, Traditional Chinese Medicine.

In a Telehealth session, we will discuss your health concerns and health history, and through this information, determine a Chinese Medical Diagnosis. Depending upon that information, a practitioner of Chinese Medicine can provide nutritional counsel, meditation guidance, acupressure suggestions, and/or lifestyle tweaks that can help your physical or emotional situation.

If you are curious and you've hesitated to take advantage of acupuncture in the past due to fear of needles, this is one way that you can take advantage of some of the additional benefits of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
